Creamy Tomato and Sausage Pasta

Hearty pasta with crumbled Italian sausage in a rich tomato cream sauce.

Ingredients

• 1.5 lbs Penne pasta
• 1.5 lbs Ground Italian sausage
• 24 oz jar Marinara sauce
• 1/2 cup Heavy cream

Instructions

1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook penne according to package directions.
2. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage over medium-high heat until cooked through.
3. Drain excess fat from the skillet and pour in the marinara sauce.
4. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Drain pasta and toss directly into the sauce until well coated.
6. Serve immediately with optional grated cheese.
